Well, the decision has been made. After much thought and discussion with several people who who would have liked to join me in a partnership, I have come to realise that after so many years of being in charge, I don’t think I would find it easy to share ownership, and have a partner in the business.
I would like to thank all those people who showed an interest in joining me or buying the business, but for a variety of reasons I have decided not to move forward with anyone. Instead I feel that the best solution for me is to close the shop.
I know that many of you will be upset by this, and for that I apologise.
What am I going to do? Well some of you know that I haven’t been on holiday for a while…… like four years, so I have decided that the first thing I am going to do is to go away for a short while. Then I will be back. I am currently looking for somewhere for the knit and natters to continue and for me to teach as I would like to keep that going. I will also be teaching my lessons round in other places in the area, so if you have been unable to come to a lesson so far, all is not lost. Keep an eye on facebook and on the website and I will post details on there. .
If any of you know of a room that I can rent, to teach in, or for knit and natters, please let me know.
My plans are quite fluid at the moment. I will be keeping my website and facebook pages so these will be ways for you to contact me, or for me to let you know what I am doing.
I have bought myself a small caravan which I think will be big enough for me, and my stash. What else do I need?
I am going to set myself, new challenges, some have been suggested by friends and family. These include:-
Hmm! Think the sunset is more in my line. I know I said I was looking for adventure, but I haven’t a head for heights so think parachuting is way out of my comfort zone. My plan is to go round the country touring yarn shops and visiting places I haven’t been to, or places that I have been to and enjoyed and want to revisit! I will not be making definite plans as I want to go where the mood takes me, visiting as many quilting, fabric and yarn shows as I possibly can.
I plan to blog as I go, so you can keep up to date if you wish with what I am doing. I do have a few more plans at the moment, but need some help before I am ready to say to much.
Well that’s about it for now. I have started a sale in the shop, stock is going fast, so if you want anything I suggest you get in quickly. There will be another order going in to Sirdar and one to Stylecraft by the end of the month so if you would like a whole pack of anything please let me know. There will be a good discount, but you will need to take a whole pack and pay in cash on placing the order.
Think that’s all for now.
See you soon.
